This limited opportunity gives you the chance to learn the key skills needed to destroy the dance floor with hard hitting, great house tracks, with the potential to release your finished tracks on Zulu Records;

 

The course covers every aspect of creating tracks, from the initial ideas for hooks, through to mixing and mastering and getting your tunes out there.

 

MDE are opening this offer to students of all levels for a limited time so don't miss out!

Whether you have always had aspirations to write your own tracks but lacked the experience to get started, or perhaps you have experience but could benefit from learning the key skills to take your music to the next level, this course is for you!

The skills you will learn apply to whatever DAW you feel comfortable working with.

Places are limited to a max of 2 people per session!

 

 

MDE have had a professional music career spanning over 15 years. They have released over 200 tracks with labels such as Insomniac, Sony RCA, Toolroom, Spinnin, Ministry of Sound and Zulu Records, They are fortunate to have DJ radio support from Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Danny Howard, Teisto, Hardwell, Oliver Heldens and have remixed tracks for artists such as Beyonce, Snoop Dogg, Ke$ha, Britney Spears, Usher, Lady Gaga and Groove Armada.

 

Course Content:

  1. Finding a place to Start - Your main idea for the basis of the track.  A melody, a moment, a hook.  Inspiration and ways to inspire your starting point..
  2. Direction of your music -  Targeting your music to the listener/audience, genre, label etc...
  3. Putting Feeling in to your music - Emotion, sound selection of synths, bass, strings etc.. chords, key, melody, FX
  4. Placing and spacing your sounds sonically – Using panning, reverb, stereo imaging, volume, octaves, pitch and frequency.
  5. Arrangment - Structuring your track in the most effective way to give the listener the ultimate experience.  Creating the club edit, radio edit, dub edit, sync edit, vocal edit etc..
  6. Builds and drops - Creating anticipation and reward for the listener using volume, space, filters arrangement, contrast & dynamics.
  7. Evaluating and placing your track in the industry -  Selling your music and making sure it gets to the right people, places & labels.  Researching Djs, promo services, radio and social media.
  8. A&R session (Track Analysis) with Zulu records - Get a feel for what the professionals are looking for when signing a track.

 

Course Details & Fee’s

8 hours of 1 to 1 tuition (2000 MRY)

2 hours x 4 session over 1-2 weeks

or

8 hours of tuition in groups of two to four (1500 MRY per person)

2 hours x 4 session over 1-2 weeks

 

In addition; Also receive 1000 MRY worth of exclusive Zulu records samples when attend the course.
